Bottega artigiana

HOMEN Bottega Artigiana was born in 1996. The idea is simple and complex at the same time: to create jewels thanks to the collaboration between tradition and modernity. And most importantly, create them for the broadest human spectrum, for men and women, for anyone who wants it. Because the art of wearing a jewel depends only on one’s aesthetic sense, on the uniqueness of our person.

The tradition, of course, is that of the Vicentine Goldsmith Art, celebrated all over the world and bearer of a centuries-old history. And precisely from here the company of designer Gino Caoduro was born, from an intimate desire to continue this tradition. In a world where decorative activities are increasingly represented by faceless giants, remembering that they were our neighbors, that we were the creators, is increasingly important.

CRAFTS AND TECHNIQUES

Describing in a nutshell everything behind the creation of a HOMEN product is complex, but we want you to know everything about how your jewel was created. And if you want, you can find out more every day.

The beginning: ORIGIN

The first and fundamental phase of the creation of a HOMEN Bottega Artigiana jewel is, of course, the drawing.

Everything comes from an idea, which is drawn by hand in order to be able to evaluate its strengths and weaknesses. Once we have established what the jewel will be, we recreate a version in 3D design with a software, so that we can then create a model.

The first step: SHAPE

Once we are sure that we have a perfectly designed model, this is made with a CNC machine (this is the technological contribution, which helps to refine the artisan experience), in resin.

What is this phase for? To create a prototype to be cast in metal using the lost wax casting technique. So let’s proceed with the pressing phase.

In this first step, gold, silver, bronze and aluminum go from being materials to having their own shape. To do this, we use specific tools depending on the desired shape. In some cases we prefer pressing, in others a working with pedal or, finally, working with a rocker. Each product needs its own technique to begin its journey.

The second step: UNION

During the design phase it can happen (and often) that you design a creation composed of several materials or several parts. For this reason, the second phase, ie welding, is essential. We use an impulse or cannelo PUK welding machine, a tool created to allow great freedom of movement and precision otherwise unattainable.

One of the biggest flaws we’ve encountered in jewelry making – and we know you’ve noticed it too! – is durability. Taking the soldering phase seriously and professionally managing it is one of the most effective ways to create jewelry that, in addition to being beautiful, is also durable.

The third step: LIGHT

And here we are, then, at the grand finale. We have drawn, we have modeled, we have strengthened and chiseled. Now we can finally dedicate ourselves to making our jewel bright, elegant, beautiful.

During the finishing phase, each product is sanded, sanded and polished, in order to present itself in the best possible way. This phase is of course not only aesthetic: polishing living materials such as gold and silver allows them to be maintained over time.

Beauty in nature may be fleeting, but HOMEN’s is forever.

The fourth step: CONTROL

We do not complete any of our projects without first passing through a thorough quality control. This phase, while expensive in terms of time, is absolutely fundamental for us: our jewels must be guaranteed, they must be durable, as well as aesthetically splendid.
For this, we take care of each product by testing it thoroughly.

The grand finale: YOUR HOMEN JEWEL

At this point, we are finally certain of our product. We saw it born, we made sure it was made of the best materials, we refined it and checked it.

Now we just have to move on to packaging and sending. We make sure that the jewels are delivered within one week of ordering at the latest. We need this time to personalize your order, make a final check, to pack the product in our multipurpose, recyclable packaging, and to have it delivered directly to your home. it’s a lot of work, but it’s our passion.

And there is nothing better than seeing you satisfied while wearing a product that until a few moments before was a dream in our heads, and now it has become an object that will accompany you forever.
